The full course takes a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 4 months.
The course consists of two phases: 1. Classroom phase. And 2. In-car phase.

Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration has temporarily authorized the classroom portion of our Drivers Education course to be taught online, using a virtual classroom format with a live instructor. After you finish your online course you can call the office to schedule the six (6) hours behind the wheel portion of the program.
The online course is conducted using the popular ZOOM video conferencing service. The ZOOM platform is compatible with most computers and mobile devices in use today. MVA requires you to use a device with a web camera or built-in camera so that the teacher can verify each student's presence and participation in class.
Hands-On Wheels online program will offer driver training solutions to meet the needs of teens, adults, and corporations, with multimedia activities and interactive questions your teen will learn more about driving and have fun doing it. And since driver's ed only takes a few hours and is super-affordable you can feel good about signing them up. But do not wait because of COVID 19 classes fill up quickly.
